Vincent has studied mathematics to the highest level (Master’s degree), which he then applied to his Ph.D. research and

subsequent career. Vincent has published peer-reviewed papers applying advanced mathematics to multiple fields and has been

teaching mathematics for over 10 years,

Vincent’s AIM High Maths Days

Vincent’s AIM High Maths Days for KS2 and KS3

Vincent’s experience applying mathematics to real-world applications and cutting-edge research allows him to provide much-added value to his AIM High days.

The day is designed to show how the mathematics they are learning across the course of the day can be applied to various industries that are ever-evolving and applying maths in new ways.

Throughout the day, there is an overarching theme. Students will complete mini-tasks that build towards an end-of-day finale where they can see all of their work come together.

For example, one theme could be the mathematics of code-breaking – a theme that most students find exciting. This theme would explore many different topics of numbers, graphs, and algebra. This applies skills such as pattern recognition and sequences, and more advanced concepts such as prime factorization and graph ciphers, adapted to the capabilities of the students.
