Writing Courses

To celebrate National Novel Writing Month and give budding authors the support and tools they need to embark on the challenge to write a book Authors Abroad are offering writing workshops with authors all over the country.

What does the course involve?

Participants will have a day long class with a professional writer, they will also then receive access to an online community where they can speak to participants from classes throughout the country.

The online community will be filled with hints, tips, advice and motivation to keep everyone on track for their goal. There will also be a tab listing writing competitions and opportunities for budding authors.

Details of the different courses being offered by our authors and the dates and locations are listed on separate tabs. Please see these for a detailed itinerary and information on the author leading the course.

There is a charge of £85 to join a writing workshop day and have access to the online writing community – this website will continue to run for people to message classmates and look at resources and competitions after National Novel Writing Month has finished.

If you wish to submit a sample of your work (500 words) to be appraised by the author who ran your workshop you can pay an additional £25 for a personalised critique and advice on your writing.
