“Dear Breis, thank you for coming to Unicorn school to talk about your rapping. My favourite rap was – wahala because it was really cool and I liked singing the chorus. I think you must be really clever to make up all the rhymes and be able to remember them.”
–Luke Jackson, Yr 4, Unicorn Primary School
“It was wonderful to see a large group of students enjoying the workshop. They were completely enthralled by the performances Breis gave. The whole day was inspirational. Thank you so much for visiting our school.”
–Adele Emney Literacy Coordinator Oxted School.
“I am writing to report that BREIS was a storming success yesterday, and there have been rave reviews from staff and students alike. A drama teacher who happened to sit in on a session wrote:
I was very fortunate to be a part of BREIS’s recent year 8 workshop on RAPping for Poetry Day. What an absolute privilege to learn from this highly talented performer. He has produced a well-rounded fun and informative workshop. It not only teaches students/pupils about the origins or RAP and the need for imaginative expression but it also encompasses English techniques such as similes and metaphors in an engaging way. His ability to hold a group of students for the full 2 hours and change his style of teaching to encompass learning styles and differing capabilities with ease is inspiring. He also created a safe environment for all of the class ‘to give it a go’ and encouraged all of them to write and perform. I didn’t want the time to end. He is also incredibly COOL……”
