Andy’s School Visits
Andy delivers an energetic and interactive INVENTORY presentation, based on his new series of books, he shows the children how he became a writer, illustrated with photos from the film work that Andy does in Hollywood. Andy’s presentation is designed to motivate and inspire the students and encourage the students to write. Andy illustrates how writing is more than books – everything on TV is written, films, songs, computer games, movies and comics. Following this background introduction Andy then discusses his books, this is followed by a loud interactive quiz in which all students take part – the children usually get very enthusiastic and rowdy! The presentation is finished with a Q&A and a book signing. This presentation last for one hour – extra time is required for questions and signings.
Andy is happy to deliver his presentation 3 times during the full day visit to different year groups. These events are aimed at 9 – 13 year olds. Andy is very comfortable working with entire year groups and often has groups of over 400 students involved in the presentations, the interactive nature of the presentation works very well for a large crowd.
Video/data projector to connect to Andy’s own laptop, this needs to be connected to the schools sound system.
