GP Taylor has been visiting school and conferences for the last 5 years and has spoken around the world to groups from a handful to several thousand.
The aim of his sessions is to motivate children and young people to read and write - something which he is very good at doing and many schools report back a significant increase in children reading in the library and getting into books.
His workshops can be catered for your needs, size of audience and location. Taking the form of an interactive workshop they include GP telling several stories to intrigue and excite (GP is a skilled actor and presenter). Within that framework he explores story plot, character, description and planning as well as getting the children laughing, interacting and enjoying themselves.
Should you want something special then please let him know what you require. He also presents a one man story telling show entitled Myth - Magic and Mayhem.
This is not an author just turning up and reading from his book...

"Just wanted to say that G P Taylor was SUPERB! The pupils were inspired by him and the numbers joining our Library Reading Scheme have surpassed all previous years. His motivational talk on writing has also meant that many pupils are talking about 'the book inside them'.> I don't know how many will eventually turn out to be published authors but it is enough that they feel that they can now enthusiastically talk about writing without worrying anymore about their street cred"
"What can I say except that GP is a wonder?!
Everyone, adults and children alike thoroughly enjoyed his performance to the extent that one parent wants him for her daughter's school and Papplewick want him back! I've been told that the boys were talking of nothing else at breakfast this morning, which is apparently quite a phenomena.”
"I just wanted to thank you again for visiting the school. It was really good to meet you. Your talks were so fun and interesting! The pupils have been raving about you, and nearly half of Year 9 went away with a book, which is great. The Year 13 pupils have been saying you are the best speaker they have ever had, and they have been at the school for a while!"
